Ahead Games

Affordable Nintendo GameCube Repair can be had here! www.aheadgames.com

My daughter's game cube fell off the entertainment center in the garage twice and the 2nd time caused the controller to be jammed in to the front of the console and break the board.
I looked online for nintendo repair and came across Ahead Games.
They appeared to be legit, so I shipped off the unit to them for fixin'.

It was 34.99 plus the cost of shipping both to their site and back from their site.
Nintendo charges a base price of $50 so this seems to be a better deal.
Also, I received a personal message from one of the company's associates talking about what was fixed and that I could soon expect the unit to arrive in the mail. I really appreciate that personal touch, so I thought I'd mention their names here.

Hopefully it will arrive in one piece and we can close the loop on this good customer experience.

Sling Media :: How Does it Work

I want one... plain and simple. I want one.

Sling Media :: How Does it Work:

The Slingbox fits neatly into a consumer’s existing TV and network
infrastructure. All that is required is a video source providing
TV-based entertainment - either cable, satellite TV, or a PVR - and a
home router. A broadband network connection is required only if you
want to use the Slingbox to view your video source from outside your
home.

unencrypted information at site where you can buy tax liens

I've just signed up for a user account at a site (Site A) hoping to find some deals on tax leins.
In their privacy policy they state that -
"We require the use of a secure browser before a connection can be made to the registration system."
and yet - they actually did not require a secure connection.
In fact, they send back your user id and password (via the web) via unencrypted channels too.
I've shipped off a note to their support desk and am interested to see what they do about this.

Keep this on the radar - FeedLounge - the web-based feed reader redefined

I have about 3 feed readers installed plus I'm using bloglines. Sure would be nice to have one comprehensive tool. Maybe this will be it. However, honestly, I think that Omea Reader with it's support of websites and news groups may be in the lead.
